Wealth means what to you?

If I were to ask you what does it mean to be wealthy? The answer may be to have more money than can be spent in a lifetime. Holding a traditional meaning I would have to agree. Holding a spiritual meaning I would have to disagree.
Money doesn’t hold the answers to how life is loved. it only holds the answers how it can be lived. Money takes care of transactions in life. The more money you hold the more things you can possess physically in life.
More money doesn’t mean you will enjoy the life you have. So many people with money live miserable lives. They don’t have emotional happiness.
To this day there is someone with a lot of money who hasn’t spoken to his family in years. Someone somewhere has so much money, but can’t save their child from a drug addiction. They can pay for the finest treatments in the world yet their child just cannot get clean. Someone is so depressed right now that there is not one item they purchase that can make them happy. Meanwhile money can only pay for the treatment of the illness a rich person may carry. No amount of money will prevent the same outcome someone without money will face.
Being wealthy from a believer standpoint means to live righteous for the purpose of shining light in dark places. What profit a man to gain the whole world just to lose his soul. Making money In greed is wrong because through greed you will have to have done someone wrong. You want things to have just so no one else can have or you want it to say look what I have that you don’t. Maybe you just want because you never had before. Don’t let greed motivate your means to having what you have. If you just so happen to gain a lot let it be from the blessings of the hard work you’ve done. Don’t be ashamed or afraid of having alot just be willing to to honestly work for what you have. Never place the work to gain over the responsibilities of your life.
How do you build wealth as a believer?
God first, Family comes second. Some May say “well I need to make the money to take care of my family.” From a traditional standpoint I would have to agree. However, from a traditional standpoint I would have to disagree.
Our Heavenly Father has made a promise that he will take care of all our needs. We must acknowledge him in all we do. When you put God in the center of all you do he will guide your steps. HE WILL never make it to where you aren’t spending quality time with your loved ones.
Building a legacy of love to leave behind for your children to share with their children to share with their children creates wealth that holds more value than any dollar.
Leaving behind money without love can bring the worst out of the ones you love. It can tear relationships in half and people start to fight and show their true colors. What held value throughout life by providing expensive clothes, extravagant trips, and the finest foods has now become the catalyst to drive brothers against sisters, sons against fathers, and mothers against daughters.
A believer finds wealth in holding the fruits of the holy spirit. The person who has Love, joy, peace, humility, and faith has real wealth over the person who only has money to lean on.
So if you ask a believer what the true meaning of wealth is money will be far from the answer given.
Finally in closing
This does not mean you shouldn‘t earn a living and make money. Just don’t put money above everything you do. Treat it as the tool it was created to be. Used for transactions in exchange for goods, or service. For money isn’t the root of all evil. It is the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil.
Feed your spirit the word of God build wealth that matters and share the goodness of the lord with the world who desperately needs his love.
Until next time,
Geoff
