Dear lord Jesus thank you for waking me up today and giving me the abilities to go about my day and the opportunity to draw closer to you by meditating on your word and slowing down to hear from you.
I read in your word that the tongue can set a life on fire and destroy it by the words that are spoken. Praising God and cursing human beings should not be.
It says taming beast of the wild and birds of the air are tamed yet there is no human that can tame a tongue. That spoke volumes to me because I can fire off in a moment when I feel attacked or approached in a way I don’t like.
Lord just the other day in traffic the episode that took place had me feeling a type of way right after because what did I accomplish in that behavior? What was proven? What was the point?
NO!
lord I want to lead a life of wisdom and discernment that pleases and uplifts the only name that will reign supreme. Heal me where you see I need to be healed not where I expect to be healed.
I cannot save myself although I am dead through my transgressions you are here to save. I thank you for who you are and love you for the plan you designed for your people,
The son you sent for us to follow, and the grace and mercies given everyday.
